July 12, 2023Dana is pleased and proud to announce she recently earned her Wellness Coaching Certification!
A certified wellness coach helps individuals make decisions, modify behaviors, and develop habits that lead to a healthier, more connected, and emotionally satisfying lifestyle. A wellness coach not only guides a person in their decision-making process but also helps them examine the underlying root of their choices. Thus, in addition to offering guidance on diet, exercise, and improving overall personal healthcare, a wellness coach also works with a client to answer the somewhat existential question of why they made decisions that compromised their health to begin with.
While some strokes result from undiagnosed health issues and happen without warning, as in Dana’s case, many strokes occur due to lifestyle choices that contribute to serious health conditions. And these factors make wellness coaching a natural extension of Dana’s work as a stroke recovery advocate and support group leader.
As a wellness coach assisting stroke survivors, Dana aims to help those in recovery modify their behaviors and develop new habits to support a healthier lifestyle. Efforts that will contribute to their healing and help avoid future health-related problems.
Those acquainted with Dana are well aware that she was dedicated to health and wellness long before her stroke. Dana has consistently followed a strenuous exercise regime and carefully monitored her diet For decades. All of which makes her expansion into wellness coaching an instinctive evolution. Moreover, wellness coach training better empowers Dana to serve as a stroke recovery advocate and support group leader.
