December 24, 2023STROKE SURVIVOR’S FIRST BOOK BECOMES AN INSTANT BEST SELLER!
July 12, 2024Dana was thrilled and honored to participate in the recent B.I.G.G. (Believing in God’s Grace) event, sponsored by the Paul George Foundation. The well-attended gathering was organized to honor stroke survivors and bring awareness to the growing stroke recovery moment.
Paul George, a nine-time NBA All-Star player currently with the Los Angeles Clippers franchise, is a staunch stroke recovery advocate—dedication driven by a devastating personal experience impacting his immediate family.
Paul George’s mother, Paulette Ann George, suffered a major stroke when George was a mere six years old. Thankfully, Paulette has improved greatly in the time since and embraces living her best life daily. Regardless, the sudden and traumatic catastrophe profoundly affected the George family, which included his sisters, Teiosha and Portala, who co-hosted the B.I.G.G. event with Paul and his mother.
Held at the Beverly Hills Waldroff Astoria, the Believing in God’s Grace outing indulged attendees with a day of pampering, including beauty treatments, special treats, and entertaining games. Dana had the pleasure of staffing the Chair Bingo game, which proved a huge hit among B.I.G.G. participants.
In addition to stroke recovery advocacy, the Paul George Foundation funds primary educational programs and supports at-risk youth in urban communities.
A Los Angeles County native, growing up in Palmdale and eventually graduating from the University of California, Fresno, Paul George was drafted by the Indian Pacers in 2010 and traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017 before signing as a free agent with the Clippers in 2019.
